SmartStep - The new electric step

Steps are practical aids for safe and easy access via the side door of a vehicle. There are various solutions, from permanently installed to electric steps that extend and retract automatically.

AMF-Bruns optimises its fully automatic electric step. The new version is made of high-quality stainless steel and offers a load capacity of up to 250 kg. The principle is identical to the previous electric step: as soon as the side door of the vehicle is opened, the step extends. When the side sliding door is closed, it automatically retracts under the vehicle.

The SmartStep is available in three different widths (600, 900, 1,100 mm) and therefore covers a wide range of vehicles. The pinch protection ensures that the step stops extending in the event of an obstacle. A warning light on the dashboard indicates whether the step has been extended.
